For destination elopements, booking 6–12 months in advance is ideal—especially for popular locations like Yosemite or Lake Tahoe. This gives us time to secure your date, permits, and any vendors, and craft a timeline that captures all the moments that matter most.That said, I’ve planned amazing elopements in less than a month, so it’s always worth reaching out—if you can dream it, we can make it happen.
How does travel work? Do we book flights + lodging for you?
Nope — I handle all of my own travel. Once you choose your location and date, I book my flights, lodging, and transportation. All travel fees are included in your package upfront so there are no surprises, no hidden costs, and no extra invoices popping up later.
We’ve never been to this location… can you help us plan?
Absolutely. I’ll help with location scouting, timeline building, permit guidance, best season, backup spots, hiking details, and logistics. You don’t need to know anything about the area—I’ll guide you through everything so your day flows seamlessly.
What if the weather is bad?
Elopements are built for flexibility. I always create a Plan A, B, and C so you’re never stressed about weather shifts. Whether that means adjusting timing, changing trailheads, or chasing a better pocket of light, we’ll pivot together and still create magic.
Do you help us choose a location if we have no idea where to go?
Definitely. Most couples come to me with a vibe, not a place. After you book, I’ll send a curated list of destinations that match your scenery preferences, season, budget, and adventure level—complete with photos, trail details, pros + cons, and insider tips.
How many hours do we need for an elopement?
Most couples are surprised to learn that elopements take longer than expected. A typical elopement day is 6–12 hours to truly tell the story—getting ready, travel time, hiking, ceremony, portraits, snacks, sunset, the in-between moments, and the intimate pieces that make your day yours.
