One state. Wildly different ways to say 'I do.'

Oregon Elopement & Intimate Wedding Photographer

Most states pick a personality. Oregon didn't.

You can stand under a hundred-foot waterfall in the Gorge in the morning, and by afternoon be somewhere in the high desert where the ground turns red and the sky opens up wide in a completely different way. Drive a couple more hours and you're on a coastline with sea stacks rising straight out of the fog.

That range is the actual reason to elope here, not one single iconic backdrop, but the ability to build a day that matches your specific two people, whatever that looks like. Moss and mist people. Desert and big sky people. Driftwood and tide pools people. Oregon can be any of those.

Moss-covered cliffs, waterfalls you can practically hear from the trailhead, and that deep, saturated Pacific Northwest green people picture when they imagine this part of the country. Good for couples who want lushness and drama without needing to hike for days to get it.

Three Very Different Versions of "Eloping in Oregon"

Waterfalls & Green (Columbia River Gorge)

Smith Rock and the surrounding high desert flip the script entirely, dry air, dramatic rock formations, huge open sky, a completely different color palette. Good for couples who want something starker and more sculptural.

Desert & Big Sky (Central Oregon)

Sea stacks, driftwood, tide pools, and weather that changes by the hour. Good for couples who want that moody, elemental feeling of standing right at the edge of something.

Coast & Fog (Oregon Coast)

You don't have to pick blind, I'll help you figure out which of these actually matches what you're picturing, based on real conversations, not just Pinterest boards.

Why It's Worth Having One Photographer Who Knows All Three.

A lot of photographers specialize in one Oregon region and stop there. I've made a point of actually knowing the Gorge, Central Oregon, and the Coast individually, different permit systems, different weather patterns, different logistics for each.

That means if you're torn between two very different visions for your day, I can actually help you choose, instead of just pointing you toward whatever's near my usual home base. And if you want to combine locations into one multi-day trip, I already know how the driving and timing works between them.

get to know me

My grandparents have a farm in Oregon, and I spent every summer, Thanksgiving and Christmas there growing up. The visits never stopped, so I'm up here and in Washington all the time. I know these trails, coastlines and back roads well, and I bring the same backcountry preparation I teach at Lake Tahoe Community College to every Oregon elopement

P.S. Lets go raft a river & say your vows somewhere you can only get my boat

Brooke & Gus | Eloped in Northern California

"No exaggerations. The amount of work she is willing to do for her couples is insane. One example of this: our elopement had 2 locations with a 45 minute drive between the two. She drove that distance multiple times in a two day span to scout the location, map out our hikes, and even made friends with the locals to get us materials for our shoot. She puts in so much work and took care of so many logistical things so we could focus on enjoying our wedding day. We had so much fun hanging out with her on the day exploring nature and using walkie talkies on different parts of the shoot where we were far from each other. And the PICTURES. Holy breathtaking. I will never stop being obsessed with them. I can’t say enough good things about Kendall. We want to be her friend forever!"

”Kendall made our whole experience PERFECT from start to finish”

How This Actually Comes Together

Here's how it goes, start to finish

You don’t have to do this alone

I’ll be with you from the first “what if” to the final farewell.

You tell me the feeling, not just the place.

Lush and green? Stark and dramatic? Foggy and coastal? I can help translate that into an actual region if you're not sure yet.

We land on the specific spot

Within whichever region fits, there's still a lot of variation, I'll narrow it down with you.

3

I handle permits.

Oregon's state parks, national forest land, and BLM land all have different rules, and I keep track of which applies where.

We build a timeline around real conditions.

Coastal fog burns off differently than Gorge morning light, I plan the day around the actual place, not a generic template.

I brief you on logistics.

Weather layers, footwear, road conditions if we're headed somewhere remote.

Moody coast storms and the Gorge at its greenest.

winter

Golden light, fewer crowds and calm coastal evenings.

fall

Dry desert days and clearer coast mornings, and the busiest season.

summer

The waterfalls at their fullest, and wildflowers in the desert.

When to Elope in Oregon

That's what I want for you. And the only way that happens is if your day has room to breathe. No rushing between locations. No watching the clock. No stress about logistics. Just you two in the wild, fully present.

Every single package I offer includes my travel, permit research, location scouting, full planning support, and vendor connections. The price you see is the price you pay. No add-ons, no surprises.

I hold a Master's degree in Outdoor Leadership, WFR and CPR certifications, and Leave No Trace training. I've photographed elopements on glaciers, in river canyons, on mountain summits, and deep in forests. I know how to get you somewhere wild and bring you home safe.

EVERYTHING HANDLED.

"I felt like I was actually living it — not performing it for photos."

Nothing rushed.

Questions People Ask Before Booking in Oregon

Which part of Oregon is best for an elopement?

Genuinely depends on your taste — lush and green (the Gorge), stark and dramatic (Central Oregon desert), or moody and coastal (the Coast). I can help you figure out which one matches what you're picturing.

Do we need a permit to elope in Oregon?

Almost always yes, for a ceremony specifically, though the exact process depends on whether it's state park, national forest, or BLM land. I sort this out with you.

What's Oregon weather actually like for an elopement?

Highly dependent on region and season... the Gorge stays green and misty most of the year, the high desert is drier and more extreme in temperature, and the coast can shift from sun to fog within an hour. I'll walk you through what to expect for your specific spot and date.

Can we do more than one region in one trip?

Yes, and honestly it's a great option if you can't choose just one. Multi-day packages let us cover more than one part of the state.

How far in advance should we plan?

Popular spots like Smith Rock or well-known Gorge waterfalls can require permits booked out in advance, especially in peak season, so earlier is better if you have your heart set on somewhere specific.
